FREE Volunteer Training: Family Services - Providing Emergency Assistance Time: 5:30pm - 9:00pm Location: Chapter Headquarters - 105 Gano Street, Providence, RI
Learn how to determine the needs of a family displaced due to an emergency, like a fire, and how the American Red Cross of Rhode Island meets those needs. Providing meals, clothing vouchers, hotel accommodations, medications, etc. will be covered. The course also teaches how to assess the emotional and physical needs of the family and what professional mental health services are available through the Red Cross network. American Red Cross of Rhode Island Disaster Services Training for New Volunteers is free and open to the public.
