Train candidates as instructors for the following courses:
- Adult CPR
- Infant and Child CPR
- Community CPR
- Basic First Aid
- Community First Aid and Safety
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- Babysitting
- 'Til Help Arrives.
PREREQUISITES
- Minimum age of 17 by the end of course.
- Must possess Participant Level Certification in course relevant to instructor
program.
- Attend all scheduled sessions.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Use program materials effectively.
- Plan and conduct effective courses.
- Evaluate progress of participants for certification.
- Prepare and submit accurate records and reports.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Must make payment at least 72 hours prior to the start of the first session.
Successfully complete pre-course session, consisting of first aid and CPR skills and knowledge evaluation for the particular instructor program.
PRE-COURSE SESSION
- Requirement 1: Enrollees will be required to pass the participant level exam,
with 80% or higher, in order to continue with instructor program.
- Requirement 2: Enrollees will be required to successfully demonstrate all
relevant participant level practical skills in order to continue with instructor
program.
- Failure to successfully complete either of the precourse requirements will
equate to a grade of "Fail" for the instructor program.
REFUND POLICY
No refunds will be issued for a failing grade, either in the precourse session or final grade.

$100.00 CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor Program
$135.00 CPR for the Professional Rescuer Instructor Program
$75.00 Babysitting Instructor Program
CANCELLATION POLICY
The American Red Cross Rhode Island Chapter cannot refund payments for any classes unless we cancel the class. If you cannot make a class, you will be issued a credit for another class. This credit must be used within 90 days.
