CPR/AED for the PROFESSIONAL RESCUER
PURPOSE
Teach professional rescuers (those with a duty to respond) the skills needed to respond appropriately to respiratory and cardiac emergencies, including Automated External Defibrillation.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Learn the role of the professional rescuer in the emergency medical
services (EMS) system.
- Learn the role of the professional rescuer in providing emergency care.
- Learn how to recognize and respond to respiratory and cardiac emergencies in infants, children, and adults.
- Recognize the risk factors that contribute to cardiovascular disease.
- Perform specialized skills and techniques used by professional rescuers.

The American Red Cross Rhode Island Chapter cannot refund payments for any classes unless we cancel the class. If you cannot make a class, you will be issued a credit for another class. This credit must be used within 90 days.
